Salt Lake City 2002

Now that hockey’s back on I can look at these photo’s with out crying. This is me and Pat at the SLC 2002 Olympics gold medal Women’s hockey game. If you have the DVD of the game we are in the crowd right after the USA scores their 2nd (and last) goal. At 1:32:36 on the DVD and at 17:20 in the 3rd period you can see us sitting in front of the two flag waving American women behind us.

At the start of the game we offered to help them with the words to O-Canada at the end of the game. They didn’t seem interested.

Corey & Randa

One of my best friends Corey Tomczak got married this weekend in Regina. He and his new wife Randa planned an excellent wedding and everyone had a good time.

Corey & Randa

They managed to squeeze the outdoor ceremony in between the spots of rain throught the day.

Finally back online…

I finally have my blog back online. Not much to say right now. Just making sure it’s working.

My Blog

Hmmm… my blog software seems to be really messed up. All my new entries seem to dissapear after a week or so. I’m moving this blog to a new server so there won’t be any new entries for a while. Like anyone besides Tammy is readin this anyway lol.

[Updated] The CNRL Horizon Project

Tammy has corrected me on my terminology:

Love, its actually bitumen trapped in sand, its not quite at the oil stage at that point. It is very exciting now that we have corporate approval…its full steam ahead….you may want to start packing for the move :)

At least I didn’t say “tar sands”!

—–

Tammy’s company (CNRL) just recieved approval for the multi-billion dollar oil sands (don’t you dare call it tar sands!) project that she currently a regulatory co-ordinator for.

If you don’t know any thing about oils sands basicly there is oil trapped in sand underground rather than in a convential resevior i.e. an oil well with a pump jack. You end up digging a giant hole in the ground to recover the oil so we can sell it to Americans at a profit.

Norway sells out to the music industry

Norway plans to pass a law to make you a criminal (fines and jail time!) for ripping a CD you purchased to a MP3 player.

So much for fair under the copyright law.

I am sure I will be updating this entru soon saying tha the bill failed or was over turned. Why is digital music such an easy target? Why not make it illegal to record TV shows and movies… oh wait the TV and Movie industres tried that before!
